For my own business the advantage of being a mobile therapist is that I have no overheads in terms of renting a premises, which removes a lot of pressure. The disadvantage is that I can’t see as many clients and harder to organise my schedule with regards to travel time and traffic.
However, from the clients point of view, it suits a lot of people cause it only takes out some of their time as they don’t have to travel to and from the appointment. Many have kids so easy for them to see me whilst still looking after their children. And it’s also in the comfort of their own home which makes them feel more relaxed.
I have to be well organised and like to be on time. Although I have to be adaptable and ready for any situation.
No day is the same for me as I’m constantly working in different environments and as they say, variety is the spice of life.
