Dry Cupping

Cupping is a procedure where a cup is placed over the area to be treated and a vacuum is created in the cup to draw the skin and underlying tissue up toward the surface. Dry cupping is considered a decompression technique—think of it as the opposite of deep tissue massage or foam rolling, which compress your muscles and tissue.

The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure).
